Q WEEK EIGHT This week's heading is: Business Trends In part eight of the report the firm wants Mary to consider the future of her business. All managers know that innovation is making a competitive edge harder to find. The firm wants Mary to evaluate her product line and look at the businesses that are most likely to survive in the next ten years. To that end the firm is wants this part of the report to give Mary and idea of what products are going to be useful and therefore desirable in the future. In part eight the following should be considered: • An explanation of what types of businesses are likely to be successful in ten years and ow Mary's current products may or may not fit into the business environment of the future. • Provide a summary of the research on the future of the lighting business as it relates to Mary's products. This should include types of lights that are directly and possibly competitive with Mary's lights. • Make Two recommendations of ways Mary might diversify the product line to appeal to the current and future customer base. (This should be based on the research and case study facts as they have evolved over the weeks.) Here you want to help Mary think inventively about her current clients needs and those that may come to her in the future.
